The Manitoba College of Family Physicians (MCFP) is the leading organization for family medicine in Manitoba, dedicated to supporting family physicians in providing equitable and culturally safe care to all Manitobans. Our membership includes over 1,600 family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students who are committed to advancing the field of family medicine.
At MCFP, we provide our members with leadership, support, advocacy and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities that cater to the evolving needs of family physicians in Manitoba. We empower our members to address health equity and the social determinants of health (SDH) and promote the value of family medicine through our advocacy work and the MCFP awards and honours program.
Our unique role in the Manitoba health system is further explained in our “Who’s Who in the Manitoba Health System” infographic. This resource clarifies the roles and relationships between MCFP and other organizations that impact family medicine and primary care.
We welcome all family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students interested in pursuing a career in family medicine to join us. For more information about becoming a member, please visit our membership page or review the MCFP Bylaws (2021) for more details about our organization.
